Lots to do, so little time

So I am still looking for a new house.  Trying to find the perfect 5 bedroom, which there have been a few I liked but so many keep popping up and I am trying to find the best one to fit our situation. After talking to a friend of ours we decided to get a house together this way we can get something the size we need that is more expensive that will take the dogs too.

Natalia, my 3 year old, reached a big accomplishment! Over the last few weeks she has been working so hard but she now knows her ABCS, she can recognize all 26 letters upper and lower case!

OH! Also wanted to share, I have another baby! July 23 we ended up with a puppy! She is about 6 weeks old and is a Beared collie, border collie, blue tick coon hound mix, and is absolutely adorable! Her name is Maci. Maci Panda! (Jessa, my 7 year old, named her!) Here are a couple  pics of Maci! 

 The last picture is of Maci and our red-nose pit lab mix Bella. She has kind of taken to baby Maci as her own pup! It is so cute. All the kids love her too!

On that note, I better get off of here and get some more stuff done. I will  post more later as I do have digis I am working on!!

Happy Birthday Jessa!!!!

Oh my! Yesterday was such a hard day for me! My baby girl Jessa turned 7 yesterday!! She is growing up so fast it is unbelievable!  I am so proud of my little girl! Growing in leaps and bounds and totally overcoming her Autism. Autism doesn't have her, she has Autism and that makes her who she is!

Any who.. Here is my layout that I did with a picture of my official 7 year old!!! Isn't she beautiful!

 I love the way it came out! It's clean, and simple! I have some things to do today, but I do have more pics to use and scrap with. So once I am finished and I have some more free time I will definitely be scrapping today!

Finally Moved!!

Hey all! We finally moved into the new house!  We have had a few minor set backs but nothing too bad.   Here are some pics!!  We got a new livingroom and diningroom set. Here is Ashley lounging on my swivel chair.

Here is Natalia asleep on the new sofa 5 minutes after it was delivered and set up.

We also have two new additions to the family. Bella & Rosie!

We adopted them from a rescue.  Bella is a 7 year or  Red Nose Pitbull.,  Labrador retriever mix. Rosie is, if I remember correctly, a 4 year old beagle, bulldog, pit mix. Both girls are so sweet. They absolutely love  the kids, as the kids do them and they fit right in with our family.

Spring Break...

Yesterday marked the first day of Spring break for our kiddos here. I am actually glad because I get to spend more time with Jessa. 

Today was take your child to work day so hubby asked Jessa if she wanted to go to work with him, and of course she was ecstatic!  She got to help him with some of his work as well as do activities at the college like go to the planetarium. Of course she had to call me a few times through out the day and tell me how her day was going. Well.. in her words.. she had a BLAST and is looking forward to going next year too.

Little Miss Jess helped me pick out her outfit for today and I must say she looked adorable! She even told me how to do her hair this morning, just the way she wanted it and  again... ADORABLE!

We packed some snacks for her for the day and put some fun work books in her backpack for her as well as a coloring book and crayons just in case she got bored. There was so much going on there though she barely had time to do her work books but that's okay.

I am so glad she had such a great day. Next year, Jessa and AJ will be going together and well... that should be fun! LOL

Nothing else new really going on.. not really an eventful day. Tomorrow is my typical end of the month thing.. Grocery list, budget etc etc. I do need to get my bathroom in my bedroom clean and towels washed too.. I do think I may attempt to sit and scrap some tomorrow though.

On that note, I am off to bed. I will blog more soon though.

1st Post

So, this is my first post on this new blog. My old blog, www.scrappinmylife.com was deleted by accident and apparently there is no way to get it back so I am starting fresh! Starting fresh with a new blog also brings a new blog name! I like it.. snaps (because I like photography) and scraps (because I like scrapbooking)..and together, that makes Snaps & Scraps!

So far this year there are lots of things going on; I never really updated on my old blog, but I will start off with the end of last year.

*December 2012- I got custody of my 12 year old, so now I officially have ALL 6 of my kids with me.
*February 4- 2013- We bought a new SUV, 2008 Mercury Mariner Premier
*March 2013- we started looking to purchase our first home


Now with all that happening, there is more. Like Jessa's IEP meetings,  doctors appointments for Jessa's ears and for other things, other meetings, and home schooling (Leandra and Ilanna), life has been so very busy.

Hubby was nominated and accepted  for an award from  Martial Arts History Museum. So he and I get to go out to California in September for the awards ceremony. We are  not 100 percent sure, but I do think we will be trying to stay out there for 4 or 5 days.

April 14th we were invited to go to an Asian film festival down toward Orlando so we will be going to that too.

There have been some downs too but honestly, all the goods outweigh the bad so I cant even remember anything bad at the moment lol
